GSG Welcomes CSIRO as New ETS Member

The Global Stewardship Group is pleased to welcome Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national agency responsible for scientific research, as a new Excellence Through Stewardship program member.

CSIRO’s Legume Engineering Team will be engaged with ETS. They conduct extensive research on legumes, with a primary focus on developing insect-resistant cowpea and improve photosynthesis to boost productivity and food security. Alongside they also work in other crops such as lupins and chickpeas, and in areas such as resistance to abiotic stress or nutrition-enhanced crops.”

CSIRO is one of the world’s leading research institutions, known for driving innovation across agriculture, health, energy, climate, and advanced technologies. With a mission to solve the nation’s greatest challenges through science, CSIRO partners with industry, government, and global research networks to deliver practical solutions that improve economic resilience, environmental sustainability and food security worldwide.

GSG looks forward to working with the talented team at CSIRO on achieving their stewardship goals.
